Did you know The Latest Android Malware is Extremely Dangerous, Here’s Why

The latest malware that has the potential to infect Android phones is called AbstractEmu, and it is one of the most dangerous that we have ended up seeing in a really long time. It infects users by posing as one of 19 different apps (including All Passwords, Anti-ads Browser, Data Saver, Lite Launcher, My Phone, Night Light and Phone Plus), and if it manages to infect your phone you might lose access to it completely due to its ability to obtain root access.

This is highly dangerous because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up making it impossible for people to continue using their phones, and they might just end up being powerless to prevent the malicious actors responsible for this malware from accessing all of their personal data.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that these apps mostly come from app stores outside of the Google Play Store such as the Amazon Appstore and the Samsung Galaxy Store. This kind of malware is very rare with all things having been considered and taken into account, and whenever it is discovered it causes a bit of a panic because of its potential to cause such a massive range of damage to everyone’s phones since it tends to work indiscriminately and often doesn’t have a set target that it is trying to tackle.

The interesting thing is that this malware tries to reopen and exploit old flaws which might indicate that it has been made by someone or the other that has a history of trying to create malware of this type. This just goes to show that you are never really safe and that you should take precautions to prevent certain apps from having the kind of impact that you are afraid they could have if they are infected with malware.
