What Is Kill Boksoon About?

Gil Bok-soon is known as the best assassin in the game, but she also raises her teenage daughter Jae-Yeong on her own. She finds that one of the two roles is much harder than the other, and it’s not the one with guns. Boksoon’s missions are approved by MK Ent, which is the biggest assassin company. Cha Min-kyu, who runs the company, is a longtime friend of Boksoon’s and has an emotional connection with her. On the other hand, his sister Min-hee has a target on Bok-soon’s back in a figurative sense.

The Intern

Bok-soon is paired up with Yeong-ji, an MK intern who seems to look up to her, for a project. The plan is to kill a young man and make it look like he killed himself. At first, Boksoon doesn’t pay attention to the details of the mission, but he soon realizes that the devil is in the details. She finds out that the boy’s father, Oh Jeongsik, is the one who killed the man. Then, Senator Jeongsik, who plans to run for Prime Minister, is in trouble because people say his son lied to get into college.

The Lie

Min-kyu knows that she’s lying. Boksoon knows that she has broken one of the three base rules of the assassin companies, which means that her actions will have bad results. She uses her contract as a bargaining chip and signs a renewal with MK in exchange for a full pardon. She also wants the case to never be given to anyone else again. Minkyu agrees but says he should be the one to decide how long her new contract will last.

Bok-soon’s family life gets even worse when her daughter receives a suspension from school and could be kicked out for good. Cheolwoo was stabbed by Jaeyeong with a pair of scissors at school. When asked why she did this, Jaeyeong doesn’t answer and moves even farther away. She eventually tells him that she has been having an affair with her bestie, So-Ra.

The Blackmail

Cheolwoo used pictures of Jaeyeong and So-Ra kissing to force Jaeyeong to do what he wanted. He told her he would tell everyone if they didn’t date for a while. So, in a fit of anger, Jaeyeong stabbed Cheolwoo. After telling her mother about this, Boksoon and Jaeyeong are able to solve their problems. Bok-soon isn’t happy at first that her daughter is a lesbian, but she comes around and the two find things they have in common to talk about.

Minhee learns that Boksoon’s operation went wrong and is angry that her own brother treats Bok-soon better than she does. In response, Minhee hires a hitman to kill Boksoon and gets some of her drinking buddies to kill him as well. Han Heeseong, Boksoon’s current boyfriend, is one of these killers. But Boksoon has been backed into a corner, so she must now fight the Cha siblings and keep her secret from her daughter.

Kill Boksoon Ending Explained

Boksoon met Min-kyu for the first time when she killed her abusive father when she was seventeen. After this, she turns to crime and becomes one of the best killers for hire. So, she is an A-level killer at MK Ent, which means she is the best killer at the company. She gets jobs that pay well and are important, and people are jealous of her. Overall, Boksoon is a huge help to MK Ent, and Min-Kyu wants Boksoon to keep working with them.

But Boksoon doesn’t want to work with those weirdos anymore. She isn’t quite ready to retire yet, but she thinks it would be best for her family if she did. Still, she can’t tell Min-Kyu why because she promised him she wouldn’t let her child get in the way of the job. Min-kyu does finally succeed in getting Boksoon to sign the contract again, but only after her failed attempt to kill the Senator’s son.

Min-hee already has something against Boksoon, and she even sends killers after him. Min-hee is jealous of the way her brother treats Boksoon, and she wants to show Boksoon who is boss. So, when Bok-soon comes into the office to sign her contract, Min-hee uses the killing of Yeongji as a means way to gain power by telling Boksoon about it. So, Bok-soon doesn’t sign the deal and tells Min-Kyu they should fight to the death, defeating him, all while having another battle to deal with, leaving things up for grabs for a possible sequel in the future.
