15 Home Products I Own And Love

So what are my credentials? I’ve been on the BuzzFeed shopping team since September 2016 and even though I’m *technically* a generalist, I’ve written TONS of home stories that you’ve likely come across if you’re reading this. And before that, I was at This Old House magazine for ~4.5 years so if a home product exists, I’ve probably thought about it more than you could even imagine.

Writing about products for a living is quite the self-fulfilling prophesy because I often end up purchasing things that I researched for a story and then convinced my dang self to buy! Hence, this story.

To paint a picture of my dwelling situation: I live solo in a one-bedroom New York City apartment. My bathroom is small and doesn’t have much storage space, my kitchen is open to my also-small living room, I lucked out with two large closets, and my bedroom is big enough to set up like a studio (meaning, my bed, couch, TV, and dresser are all in there). Living in a one-bedroom apartment accessible by stairs isn’t for everyone, but I love it! So, some of my items tie in more to problem-solving for a place I don’t own that’s pre-war (i.e., it was built before World War II). But! All of my home favorites below would *also* work well in other housing situations, like a house with a family! There are many products I’d LOVE to have in my home but I just don’t have the space for them. So this story is on the shorter side because I have to be a little Spartan with what I keep (well, as Spartan as a shopping editor maximalist can be).
