Microsoft Bing is a great AI model to produce AI generated images. Simply describe the image you want, and Microsoft Bing Image Creator creates it for you. However, many users complain that they can only generate square images on Bing Image, even when they want a landscape image. Some even think that Microsoft Bing cannot create landscape images, which is far from the truth.
The steps to create a landscape image on Microsoft Bing Image Creator are simple. First, log in to Microsoft Bing Image Creator. In the prompt box, describe the picture you want to generate and click “Create.”
In case you are out of ideas, here’s my favorite image generation prompt (which I sometimes use for corporate logos). You can simply copy and paste this into the search box and press Create/Enter:
“Apple logo in a deep big dark hall, bright shiny edges, realistic, modern cartoonist anime illustration and film animation poster feel, blurry blue and red lights in the background, minimalistic, real, glitchy.“
Microsoft Bing Image Creator will then generate AI images for you. You will receive four options to choose from. If you do not get your desired results, you can edit your description and try again.
Once you’ve finalized the image you need, click on it. On the right side of the picture, you will see some options: Share, Save, Download, Customize, and Resize. Click on “Resize”. You will come across two options. Square (1:1) and Landscape (4:3). To keep the image in its original size, click on Square. But if you need your image in landscape, click on “Landscape”.
After clicking “Landscape,” you will be directed to another page. Wait for the image to load (ideally 5 to 10 seconds), and you will get your landscape-sized AI-generated image from Microsoft Bing Image Creator. Voila!
Now, you can share, save, or download the image, or customize it by clicking on the Customize option. This will take you to Microsoft Designer, where you can edit the picture as you like, such as cropping or removing the background.
A plus point is that changing the image dimension from square to landscape does not consume your boost credits, meaning the conversion is free. However, a downside is that converting a square image to landscape format often produces less appealing results (as Bing AI generates the image from scratch) and can sometimes alter the original image significantly, potentially ruining the creative effect.
