5 Best Recently Discontinued Cancelled Axed Manga [Best Recommendations]

It is no secret that the competition within the manga industry is very tight. While a lot of people aspire to be mangaka, not everyone’s dream will be realized. And the struggle isn’t just about marketing one’s work; serialization alone is already a very long and difficult process. Even after being serialized, that doesn’t necessarily mean success – manga that don’t meet certain popularity standards unfortunately get axed. That means the series is canceled, and the mangaka will have to give it an ending in a few chapters. Unfortunately, there are also some manga that get axed even though they have more to offer. Here are five good manga that’ve been discontinued before reaching a proper end.

Final Thoughts

A manga getting discontinued doesn’t always mean it sucked. Sometimes, it’s just that it fails to garner enough profit. That being said, there are a lot of manga that end without reaching their full potential. While we can no longer do anything about it at this point, we can still appreciate them for what they are. If you’ve read any of these manga, we’d love to hear your opinion on whether or not these series deserved getting axed.

I am a copywriter, proofreader, and editor. I love watching anime, reading manga, and writing my own stories. Watch out in the future as you may see one of my works one day. Manga and anime were big parts of my childhood. I grew up watching Yu Yu Hakusho, Slam Dunk, One Piece, and Dragon Ball Z. Those were probably one of the happiest and most carefree days of my life. In fact, most of my values are probably molded by manga. No, that’s not an exaggeration.
