A Couple of Cuckoos Chapter 147 begins with Nagi waking up in the morning to smell rice being cooked and rushes to find out that Ai is still at the house when Nagi didn’t return home last night, the latter says she did and returned with the necessary things back at the house so that she could live with him. Nagi insists that her help is enough and she doesn’t need to leave with him.
But Ai jokes that she needs to be his partner and express her love. After going to school still comprehending how they started to live together, Segawa greets Nagi and reminds him that the finals are about to happen in nearly two weeks and they should start studying and asks if she should come by his house to study together.
Nagi is worried about Segawa learning that he is living with Ai and thus he says that he will continue to look for his brother thus he cannot do so.
