Agatha All Along's New Trailer May Prove Marvel Fan Theory

We’re less than a month away from Agatha All Along‘s two-episode Disney+ debut, and we’re looking forward to strolling the Witches’ Road with Kathryn Hahn’s breakout WandaVision spell-caster. But amid a cast of fan-favorites (Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone, Debra Jo Rupp), there’s one character that has Marvel readers turning detective to figure out his true nature: Joe Locke’s “Teen.” The latest Agatha teaser gives us… well, a teeny-tiny inkling that supports the prevailing theory:

“Agatha, confession: I know an egregious amount about you,” Teen says. “Been obsessed since I first read up on your Salem days. That’s why I saved you from the spell you were under,” and with that bit of exposition comes an image of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, glowing at the height of her Scarlet Witch powers.

“Who are you?” Agatha asks, as curious as we are. “I’m,” he starts to answer, but a spell seals his mouth shut as he’s speaking a name that very well could—as fans have suspected—start with a “B.” As in “Billy Kaplan,” also known as Wiccan, the Young Avenger who’s the reincarnation of one of Wanda and Vision’s twin sons, Billy Maximoff. The characters were wiped out of existence at the end of WandaVision—a loss that greatly contributed to Wanda’s breakdown in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness—but in the comics, at least, the boys were eventually reborn and took the superhero identities of Wiccan and Speed.

Interesting,” is Agatha’s response to Teen’s inability to reveal himself, and the editing suggests Marvel is well aware that fans are having a jolly time trying to suss out the true identity of Locke’s character. “The road will give you the thing you want most, if you make it to the end,” Teen continues. It’s clear Agatha wants her magic powers back, and the trailer teases “power, betrayal, revenge” as well as some mightily surreal imagery and a cheeky sense of humor. Plus: a Goonies-esque spirit of adventure, and musical numbers!

Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down the Road…”
