“I moved into a small apartment with both hardwood floors and a carpet or two. AND two cats, one of which is like a furball machine with her long hair! It’s surprisingly lightweight, so much so that I wondered how effective the unit would be. But WOW! Impressively picks up cat hair from wool carpet!!! But today was the clincher: I let the cat fur go for too many days, so I started off using my Windtunnel on the carpet, with the thought to reach for the Rocket on the hardwood floors. OH MY, OH MY!!!!! The Windtunnel picked up 5% of the cat fur. The Rocket Pet Pro picked up 95%!!!!!! Was I astounded!!! Those rubber blades combined with the roller brushes seem to make a huge difference. I also love how the head swivels so easily around furniture legs. Very easy to empty. My one small complaint is that fur seems to wrap around the small front wheels underneath — a bit tricky to pull it out, even with needle nose pliers. But overall, I’m one happy camper!” —Megan

“This Shark is so much better than I expected. Instead of having to pull my long hairs out of the floor brush, they neatly curl around the tube in the debris collection cup. For that alone, I am a happy camper! I appreciate the various little devices that are so easy to use. It took me a while to notice the finger grip too easily and suddenly up the power when needed. The buttons to switch back and forth from hard flooring to carpets, to remove the power unit, and to dump out debris are easy and seamless. The light is a nice touch that helps hair and little bits show up, whether in brightly lit or shaded areas. I am very glad it doesn’t have to be stored and recharged on a wall unit, as it is not artwork to display. It is quite easy to plug it in, and handy to have the three blinking lights to know the level of the charge. “We have 98ld Great Pyrenees and had a Dyson, specifically dog dog hair. If you have never seen them, GPs probably shed 1/4 pound a hair a day, so the floor need to be constantly vacuumed. We returned the Dyson and after doing research, we found this Shark. It is very lightweight, which is good given our age and the frequency we use it, and it is powerful.
