Did you know WhatsApp is finally allowing its users to mute their videos before sending it to others
WhatsApp is consistently working on different types of features to retain the users on its platform because people were moving to other platforms as they were having privacy issues in the past few months. WhatsApp is currently working on a feature that will allow its users to mute their videos before sending them to their contacts or while putting them on their status. Currently, this feature is in the development stage for Android users. WhatsApp’s code shows that it will (probably) first launch this feature on Android devices, later it will roll out this feature for iPhone users as well. The iPhone users will get a new feature too that is also in work named “Read Later’’.
WhatsApp’s latest beta update for Android users is showing a much needed option to mute videos before sending them to others. It is possible that soon WhatsApp is going to roll out this feature for general public to maintain the privacy of its users, as the company got the allegations of privacy issues due to which people were leaving this platform and joining some other messaging app.
In our testing (on beta version 2.21.4.1) we found a speaker icon right next to the duration and the details of the file video that the users are trying to send to others. Clicking on that icon simply mutes the video before sending it through the platform.
This new feature is still under process, but it is made available for beta testing, however, it is assumed that it will go live for Android users in the upcoming updates. WhatsApp is trying its best to launch different types of feature to facilitate its users, however, the Facebook-owned app is far behind Telegram when it comes to needed features, but this messaging app is getting a stream of new features in every new updated version. As WhatsApp launched the payment method option in the last update, where the users were able to start online shopping too. WhatsApp will possibly add a new feature of Read Later that will take the archived chats to next level and maybe reportedly a replacement for the archived features.
WhatsApp is focusing on its privacy policies to retain its users who were migrating to the other apps. The tie will e available in the section, users will be able to edit the video, the website has announced.
