The focus of the story has shifted back to Kouhai. She is attending a meeting in her office while the man she met on the train is giving a presentation.
Let’s call him “visitor” for the sake of recap. The visitor gives a very brilliant presentation and receives a lot of appraisals. After the meeting ends, Kouhai goes to meet him and commends his presentation skills. She also states that higher-ups were very pleased, and so she’s really proud of him.

She asks him about the girl standing by his side and starts asking various questions to her regarding her name, age, job, etc. He interrupts her by saying that she’s just a very important team member and that she helped him a lot during his projects. Kouhai ignores his words and approaches the girl again, and asks her to visit the clothing store with her.
They both reach the clothing store, and the girl gets amazed at the mere sight of that store. Kouhai asks her to try some clothes on, but she refuses at first. Kouhai tells her that this is also a part of the job as she would be able to give better opinions if she tried these clothes on herself. The girl agrees to try on those clothes, and so Kouhai picks out many pieces for her. She then walks away to the changing room.

She tries on many clothes, and the store manager gets shocked to see how good she looks. She also meets other members of the office and receives a lot of praise from them too. Meanwhile, Kouhai is peeking at her to see her body as she believes that this new recruit could become the perfect model to make a huge profit.
The visitor walks in on Kouhai peeking and asks her to stop it, but he accidentally ends up seeing the new recruit change, so he gets embarrassed and walks away. He informs Kouhai that the new recruit will no longer work with them, which makes her a little upset as she has high hopes for him.
