Google’s Latest Chrome Update Enables Serving Saved Passwords And Bookmarks Without Account Synching

Google Chrome users are getting great news. The latest update enables those with multiple devices to bypass the synching of accounts and still get access to saved information on different devices. This will include addresses, bookmarks, and any saved passwords.

Before, users had to opt in for the entire account synching process. Now, that’s no longer the case. After the update’s launch, you can simply sign into Google Chrome on any device and watch the browser serve all of your saved information such as login credentials and data in a second.

While we did see this very useful feature rollout for iOS users last year, it’s finally coming to Android devices now. Similarly, we will see the launch on the desktop as well.

As confirmed by the PM for Chrome in the latest blog post, most people do want to just sign in once and expect the browser to remember the rest so they can access their data. Then when need be, they simply log out. Keeping these needs in mind, the company has opted to run a new update that enables just this.

The main advantage here is cross-device functionality. Sign in, plan your trip through your mobile phone while commuting back home, and just add the finishing details on any other device. You can share tabs from one device to the next too, another handy feature. Any saved bookmarks or passwords can be shared when needed.

Whenever necessary, they hope to offer choices for Chrome sign-ins, not to mention a more customized user experience when browsing on different devices. If you happen to be more worried about privacy, you can simply save your browser history and then sync open tabs through different places. This will always be an option that users can opt into after the sign-in is complete.
