The directive requires businesses to display the price of products and services in an unambiguous manner.

WooCommerce EU Price Indication Directive plugin ensures that sellers display the lowest offered price for a specific product within the previous ‘X’ days (say 30). Any previously reduced price announced as a promotion during the period is included in the lowest price.

  • The admin can enable/disable the EU price indicator plugin.
  • The admin can set the maximum duration for which the lowest price gets displayed.

  • Set the frequency of the cron to run in minutes.
  • Customers will see the minimum price for the respective duration set by the admin.

Installation – WooCommerce EU Price Indication Directive

The user will get a zip file that he has to upload in the “Add New” menu option in the WordPress admin panel.

For this, login to WordPress Admin Panel, and Under the Dashboard hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option which brings out a Sub-Menu and then select the “Add New” option.

After this, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, click the option to upload the zip file.

By clicking on the “Upload Plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Choose File” click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.

After browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.

Now when the plugin is installed correctly, you will see the success message and an option to activate the plugin. Henceforth now, click on “Activate Plugin” to activate the installed plugin.

Thus, the admin can install the plugin. 

Initial Configuration – WooCommerce EU Price Indication Directive

After the successful installation of the plugin, the admin will see the EU Price Indication menu option on the left side panel.

To configure the initial settings now tap on the sub-menu option – EU Price Indication. This brings up the configuration settings as shown below in the snapshot.

Configuration Details

Here, the admin will be able to –

Enable/Disable – From here, the admin can enable or disable the status of the plugin.

Maximum Duration to Apply – The admin can add the maximum duration for the products in Days to display the last lowest offered price.

Text For What’s This – The admin can add the text in this section that he wants to display on the product page for the respective label.

EU Price Indication Directive Scheduled

Here, the admin will set the –

Cron Time – Here, the admin can set the frequency of the cron in minutes as required.

Product Page – Lowest Price Displayed(As per the set number of days)

On the product page, the customers can see the lowest offered price for the product previously. The lowest offered price for the product is displayed for the set number of days from the plugin’s configuration settings.

Also, after hovering the mouse on What’s This the label is visible. The label displays the price of the product within the set number of days.
