Jinx Chapter 17 will lead to an important development in the story as Jaekyung will play the role of savior for once. Kim Dan has the worst of luck, and it is not just his backstory, but as chapters go by we see how. Things start to get better for him, and then they take a turn for the worse from an unexpected moment. Moreover, all this time, he was thought of as the main protagonist who would cull Jaekyung, but the reverse happened, and his mind was a mess.
That is not surprising, as Kim Dan has no real relations outside his grandmother; he is a loner with big responsibilities. And sadly for him, there have been people that took advantage of his circumstances. There have been people that bullied him into getting money out of him regarding his situation. They knew about his circumstances and made full use of them to milk money out of him, but they had been quiet for a while. When Kim Dan was beaten by them before passing out on Jaekyung was when we last saw them.

Kim Dan was preparing to move out in Jinx Chapter 16 as his place was about to be demolished. He was looking for a place to rent until he got more money to move to a better home, but the expense was not cheap. There were a lot of things he had to give out his expenditure and make sure things ran smoothly. However, this took a big chunk of money from leaving him not enough for rent. This includes the advanced sum he got from Jaekyung.

To make matters worse, his bullies caught him making phone calls for rent and decided to have a chat with him. Meanwhile, Jaekyung was waiting for Kim, who had wanted to go with him to the hospital for a checkup.
He was agitated that Kim went back at his word and asked his coach if he had made any further calls about his absence. His coach was just as lost as him and said that he might have something too urgent, adding Kim let them know in advance. His coach asked him to check up on him, which Jaekyung didn’t show much interest in.

Jinx Chapter 17 will finally see the clash between Jaekyung and Kim’s bullies after so many chapters. We have been waiting for this for quite a while, and the moment is finally upon us. Though there were a lot of sidetracks, we finally reached the point where Jaekyung got to learn about Kim Dan’s life more.
While it would be nice to see Jaekyung being the one to feel something toward Kim, there is still time for that. His only reaction to what has been going on with Kim would be pure rage. He is the one who had employed Kim for his needs, so when he sees some thugs abuse him, he loses his cool. However, he won’t be too direct about it as he is a national celebrity who is under the scrutiny of the media. How he deals with them will be quite interesting.
