Mieruko-chan Chapter 49 Study Sesh at Miko’s: Recap
It’s a Saturday morning and Julia, Hana and Michiru have visited Mieruko’s house to study together. Michiru didn’t know that Hana and Michiru would also be coming along and so she was a little upset. Hana has brought along with her a huge bag pack which she claims contains snacks for everyone. It also seems like even though Hana can’t see ghosts, she can still sense them as she’s terrified of the presence of Michiru’s tentacles.

Mieruko starts to think if it’s a good idea to invite her friends when her house is the way it is but she shrugs it off. Hana enters the living room to greet Kyousuke but he doesn’t seem too happy about it. He gets angry and asks her to go away. Mieruko asks Kyousuke if it’s okay for her friends to study in the living room but Kyousuke denies it as he’s playing video games. He asks Mieruko to go study in her room and Julia gets angry at his rude behaviour.
Julia tells Kyousuke that he’s younger than all of them and so he should act nicely but Kyousuke is shocked by Michiru’s height and ignores her words. He tells Michiru that she looks cool. Meanwhile, Julia starts to feel the presence of someone else again and she starts to walk towards it. Mieruko notices her and grabs her just in the nick of time as she was going towards a ghost. She asks Julia to go upstairs while the ghost looks her eye to eye.

Mieruko’s dad gets happy to see so many of her friends visiting her. Mieruko is puzzled as to why her dad decided to show up from the dead at this time. He ignores her and says that he’s happy she has so many friends but he jokes that he only has one friend. Mieruko starts to think back to the time when her dad was alive and how she always ignored him and now there’s a ghost who is always surrounding him. Even though he hasn’t harmed anyone, Mieruko still doesn’t know why it’s there.
Michiru hands some pudding to Mieruko as a gift but the pudding cup attracts her dad’s ghost which leads to Michiru’s tentacles attacking him. Mieruko gets frightened but her dad manages to evade the attack. She instantly takes the pudding cup from Michiru and thanks her in return. She then asks everyone to go to her room and she’ll join them after some time.

Mieruko stays in the living room to comprehend what just happened. She gets anxious as if her dad would have died due to that attack, she would’ve lost him forever.
