Animation studio Passione is producing the anime.
The anime adapts Yuu Shimizu‘s action fantasy light novel, which launched with illustrations by Asagi Toosaka (Girly Air Force) in May 2019, two months after concluding Seireitsukai no Blade Dance (Blade Dance of the Elementalers). Kadokawa publishes the light novel under its MF Bunko J imprint and released the 11th volume in November 2022, with the 12th volume scheduled to be released on March 25.
Asuka Keigen began serializing a manga adaptation in Monthly Shounen Ace magazine in November 2019. The fifth volume was released in May 2022, and the sixth volume is set for a March 25 release.
Yes Press licensed both the novel and manga in English in November 2019 and April 2022, respectively. The seventh novel volume was released in December 2022, and the first manga volume went on sale in November 2022.
