After the marriage of Yeriel and Levnaor in year 132, they show us the story of Yeriel from year 988, before she was reincarnated and was called Saintess Maria. The back story starts in chapter 55 and ends in chapter 59.

Chapter 58 starts from where it left in Chapter 57. Avelron’s father pulls out his sword and points toward Avelron. Avelron’s father said to Maria that Avelron’s crime called for summary execution, as according to the national law, he is not an aristocrat, which means an immediate punishment is warranted. Avelron tells Maria not to worry about him and to leave quickly.
To save Avelron, Maria says that Avelron is not her holy knight, and he has never sworn his knight’s oath to her; from the beginning, Avelron has always been the heir of Reverie. After hearing this, Avelron’s father attacks him from the back to knock him out of his consciousness. From that day, Maria was prohibited from leaving her room.
In the next panel, we see one of Avelron’s father’s servants reporting about Pavlon. He holds him that Pavlon is planning to hurt Saintess. Avelron’s father told him that he was cruel to the Saintess due to what happened with Avelron, but to think that Pavlon thinks of harming the Saintess is out of the question. Avelron’s father ordered his servant to send someone to the palace to protect the Saintess.
As the servant was leaving the room, he saw Avelron hearing all the conversation from behind the door. After hearing all this, Avelron ran towards the palace to check on Maria. In the next panel, we see Maria sleeping on her bed. She suddenly wakes up after hearing some noise coming from outside. She ran towards the door and started knocking on it for help.
A person came inside her room through the window. He said to her that if she wanted to blame somebody then blame nobles as he only needed the money. The assassin stabs her with his sword. Avelron arrives at her room and grabs Maria. Watching the assassin try to kill Avelron, he only cuts his face. Avelron’s father arrived at the scene with his guard. Seeing so many guards, the assassin escapes the palace.
