Who is Zeenat Aman?
Zeenat Aman, or Zeenat Khan, is a beautiful actress from India who has been in the entertainment industry for the past five decades. She is a former fashion model too, and she has won two prestigious beauty pageants, Femina Miss India Asia Pacific and Miss Asia Pacific. These glorious victories came her way in 1970 when she was just 19. After that, she entered the entertainment industry and debuted in a Filipino drama film, The Evil Within, in 1970. The next stop was a Bollywood movie, Hulchul, which was a comedy thriller starring Prem Chopra (another superstar of the 70s).
Even after getting roles, she wasn’t getting the fame she wanted. But it is never late to start! She worked harder and did wonders in the 1971 movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna movie. As we know, hard work pays off; she was awarded Filmfare for best supporting actress and BFJA for best actress. She started as a supporting actress, but soon she got the lead role in a movie. Her first movie in which she was in the main role was a 1974 movie named Roti Kapda Aur Makan. We know well RKAM was a hit. Later she worked as a lead actress for more than two decades for several hit movies.
Apart from being an actress, she always wanted to have a beautiful, happy, and complete family. She was married to Sanjay Khan in 1978 despite knowing that he already had a wife named Zarine Katrak. Zeenat used to love Sanjay, and she didn’t know about the truth for a few months; this marriage was annulled within a year. In 1985, she got married to Mazhar Khan, with whom she welcomed two sons, Zahaan and Azaan. But the trauma she was gifted in her marriage with Sanjay, she wasn’t able to get through it. So, later in 1998, she decided to get a divorce. Well, he died soon after the divorce.

What Happened to Zeenat Aman’s Eye?
Zeenat and Sanjay’s marriage was horrible. Sanjay never cared for Zeenat. He used to beat her frequently, slapped, kicked her, and even banged her head. There was an incident that came to light and after which everything started changing. Zeenat was shooting for a movie in Lonavala when Sanjay called her to Mumbai immediately because he was working on a movie, Abdullah, and he cast Zeenat. She refused at first because she was already booked for filmmakers in Lonavala. But, later, she decided to fly to Mumbai.
When she arrived at the residence, she was informed that Sanjay was in Taj Hotel partying with his wife, Zarine Katrak. Zeenat went Taj just to settle down the dates. When Sanjay saw Zeenat in Taj in the presence of his wife, he dragged her into a hotel room by lifting her by her hair and thrashed her brutally. None came to the rescue. Only Zarine entered and encouraged Sanjay.
He banged her head many times and beat her like a beast. On this dark night, one eye was damaged by him. Later, when the news came out, her doctor and close friends confirmed and revealed more such horrendous domestic violence against the actress.
