The story is about a high school student who suffers from a rare condition. Asahi Kuromine is unable to lie. His friends jokingly call him Anazaru, which means a bag with holes. Youko confesses her secret. In reality, she is a Vampire. She does not talk as it risks exposing her fangs, and the reason she does not go out in the sun is that Vampire skin gets tanned fast. Her father was against her attending a human school. It was under the condition that should she ever be discovered, she would have to move schools. However, Asahi convinces her otherwise, saying that he will keep her status a secret.

The Manga has come a long way since its release back in 2016. Aside from Youko, several other supernatural beings are revealed to be hiding within the school’s population.
