'Yami Shibai' Gets 11th Season in Summer 2023

Television station TV Tokyo announced a 11th season for the Yami Shibai (Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories) horror short anime series on Saturday. The official website also revealed the staff, theme song, and key visual (pictured). This season will feature urban legends stories related to the theme of “Again,” and will premiere in July 2023.

Kanji Tsuda (Redline) returns to star as the Storyteller.

Rock band Qujila Yoluno Machi will perform the theme song “Masquerade Parade.”

The first Yami Shibai season aired in Summer 2013. Crunchyroll has simulcast each season with English subtitles. Sentai Filmworks licensed the first two seasons in December 2015 and released them on home video the following April. The latest season, Yami Shibai 10, aired in Winter 2022.
