It is soft enough for her to grab, bending if necessary, and because of this, won’t hurt her as she catches it, or if it hits her by accident. It’s pretty tough, but I don’t recommend giving it to a dog beyond the fetch game: they do eventually shred the materials. But if used only for fetch they last a reasonable amount of time.
