Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls Filming Locations

In the sequel, Detective Ace, a master in retrieving wild and tame animals, goes to Africa in search of a missing bat. It was a major financial success as compared to its predecessor. However, it got mixed reviews from the audience.

Unlike its prequel, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls got filmed in various locations like British Columbia in Canada, South Carolina, and San Antonio in Texas outside Hondo. These locations got selected after an extensive search. The film includes various terrains showing dense forests and the Himalayan regions. However, the filmmakers decided to shoot the major scenes in the US.

The African setting got done in San Antonio and Charleston, South Carolina, and Texas. The Botany Bay Plantation got used to presenting tall grass and tropical, dense vegetation, and the water bodies looked like a forest.

The United Kingdom Consulate in Bonai got filmed in the Cherokee Plantation. It is a 7000-acre private sanctuary in Yemassee that contains beautiful historical settings and works as a Comfortable Southern home.

The contract made Jim appear in the movie though he was not ready to stick with the same role anymore. The movie’s budget was $30 million, and $15 million went to Jim Carrey for playing Ace. Thus, you may imagine how much the filmmakers got left.
