Ariana was definitely horny during the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine, and this album is the result. She temporarily retires the big instrumentals that were present on her previous albums and instead goes for soft, smooth R&B beats that are really pleasing to the ear. While it isn’t her most impressive work, especially after the incredible success and versatility of Sweetener and thank u, next, it still provided us with a great soundtrack that gave a sort of escape during a global catastrophe, one that we’re still tapping our feet to years later.
