Blue Lock Chapter 218 will see one of the oldest rivalries make a return, with Niko going against Isagi. When it seemed like this match would be between Barou and Isagi, the rivalries kept getting shuffled as we see how characters have grown in these past matches. And Niko’s growth should have been no surprise since he was the one who first sparked Isagi’s ego.
Niko is someone who has the least amount of presence in the field and outside. However, his power of observation is unlike anyone in the field. Were it not for him, Isagi would never have awakened. But the way he uses his skill is completely different from the way Isagi utilizes his prowess.
Even before the match, it was a given that Niko might have gotten Meta Vision as well, for he is always able to keep up with Isagi. But Barou will be the main boss of the match. For he, too, has gained an ability that allows him to use his skill to the fullest and in a way never seen before.
Blue Lock Chapter 217 Recap
Blue Lock Chapter 217 had Ubers rejoicing over getting even with Isagi’s team right after he had made his goal. Their teamwork was so great that no one from the team could be able to stop them in their tracks. Barou acted like his usual uppity self and taunted Isagi for reading his next move just as he had been.
Isagi reviewed what had happened in the last moment and realized what Barou had done was something unbelievable. Not only that, he realized that Barou has a unique vision, too, different from Isagi’s, making him realize there is more than one vision. Isagi regroups with his circle, and they talk over what they can do in the upcoming situation.
Isagi realized no matter what they threw at them, it wouldn’t work since the Ubers were ahead of them in terms of strategy. He reiterated what Noa had said at the beginning of the match, the key to winning the match is in one-on-one play. And with that, he and his allies dispersed, taking their positions and starting to work on their counterattack.

Blue Lock Chapter 218 will have Isagi see yet another use of Meta vision, a kind that he can’t pull off. When he was taking the free ball in the last chapter, his move was countered by Neko. The very first rival sparked the flames of ego way back in the first time they began playing.
Meanwhile, Kaiser and Ness will be working on a plan to tackle Lorenzo and make their goals work. Ness had been frustrated for a while now, and his frustration started to rise when he realized that Kaiser would pay him less attention. Ness looked like someone that admired Kaiser and would do anything for his attention on him, though he didn’t have much luck recently.
Although one thing of note about the recent chapters is the absence of Raichi altogether, the guy finally got a chance to be on the main stage after over 150 chapters. But then the ‘Ubers’ play put him at a disadvantage and made him invalid for the rest of the last few chapters. Though, Raichi isn’t the type to keep quiet about it.
