Boy’s Abyss takes place in a rural town in the middle of nowhere. The protagonist Reiji Kurose lives there with his mother, brother, and Grandmother. He is just 17 years old, and yet he has been through more trauma than some people experience in a lifetime.
But he doesn’t want to leave. Better yet, he doesn’t want to leave. He cannot leave his mother behind. His brother is a Shut-In who has raging fits if things don’t go his way. His Grandmother is suffering from Dementia and requires round-the-clock care.
His only solace is his childhood best friend, Sakuko “Chako” Akiyama. They have been friends for a very long time. And often confide in each other for comfort. Then there is Gen, who also is a childhood friend of Reiji. Calling him a Friend might be an exaggeration, as all he does he treat Reiji poorly. He treats him as his personal butler. Even after all of this, he still considers Gen, a friend.
His town is famous for a bridge overlooking a river flowing upstream called the Lover’s Abyss. A place that was mentioned in a famous novel. A place where two lovers committed suicide, gaining its name.
While making his way back from school, he runs into Nagi Aoe, a member of an Idol group called Acrylic. She asks Reinji if he wants to commit suicide with him. However, at the last moment, he was saved by his teacher, Yuri Shibasawa.

Boy’s Abyss Chapter 126 Recap
In Boy’s Abyss Chapter 126, we see Reiji coming back from Tokyo to his Home since her mom asked him to come. She wants him to stay with her, stay in this hell forever. So she can look after him and protect him, and they can be a happy family.
In the previous chapters, we really see how twisted Reiji’s mom really was. To which extent was she willing to go to see that she would be done? Reiji finally succumbed to her brainwashing and came back home.
There he was greeted by Gen, who had come home the previous day. We do not see him for most of the chapter. He seems to be hiding in the Closet. The same Closet he used to hide in when Reiji’s father would abuse him. He explains how he could see everything as there was a hole in the door and how Reiji’s mother used to cling to him inside the Closet.

We got an insight into why Gen stepped up that day. Why he killed Reiji’s father? Even though his father was dead. His mother and Gen conspired and made Reiji believe his father just ran away. Since that day, he would protect Reiji. In his own twisted way, he was protecting him. Gen says he does not need his forgiveness and comes out of the Closet; what Reijij saw shocked him to his core.
Boy’s Abyss Chapter 127 Spoilers
We do not have a great idea of what to expect from Boy’s Abyss Chapter 127. However, we can speculate from the ending of Boy’s Abyss Chapter 126. In the end, we see Gen Minegishi coming out of that Dark Closet. But he was wearing Reiji’s mother’s clothes.
While entering the house, we saw Yuko’s clothes all scattered about. However, we did not think much of it till we saw Gen. He even has on lipstick. We do not know what this means or what prompted it, but we sure are excited to find out.
Another thing we are not clear about is the status of Yuko Kurose. When Reiji called out to her, no one answered. He assumed she was asleep. But what if she was not? What if she was asleep permanently? We saw him wearing Yuko’s clothes.
I doubt he had permission. We know he is not above hurting women after what he did to his Girlfriend. Even Yuko was telling him how he should turn himself in. I am afraid we have to assume the worse.
