Boys Planet premiere on February 2, 2023, on Mnet. Girls Planet 999 is the prequel to Boys Planet. It is a survival show where thousands of trainees from all over the world come to audition. Only 95 boys are selected to participate in the competition. They are further divided into two groups to compete against each other in a series of challenges.
These trainees will participate in each round, and voting takes place. Low-vote scorers get eliminated from the competition. There will be a shortlist for the debut team of the highest-voted boys. A fifth-generation new boy band will debut if they make it to the final cut.
Boys Planet Episode 10: Synopsis
Boys planet is a survival reality show where male trainees and already idols participate and compete to join a new boy group. During an open audition, they select 95 boys for the competition. They divide into two groups for the competition: K-group and G-group. The K-group consists of South Korean boys, and G-group consists of global participants from Japan, China, and other countries.
The show uses a Space theme, and two groups are planets. Seven masters will mentor the boys to face the evaluation round throughout the show. The boys will be given guidance on singing, dancing, and rap. After showcasing their skills through stage performance, the audience will vote for their favorite.
The MC is called Star Master, who connects the show with the viewers. The Star Masters are Hwang Min Hyun, Sunmi, Yeo Jin Goo, Lee Minhyuk (BTOB), and Key (SHINee). Master Counsil consists of the seven masters who polish the skills of the boys. The seven masters are Baek Koo Young, Choi Young Joon, and Lip J for dance, Lee Seok Hoon, Solji, Lim Hanbyeol for vocals, and pH-1 for rap.
Star Creators are fans and audiences from all over the world. They have an essential role. They determine each contestant’s position. Fans have to vote for each candidate on Boys Planet. The official Mnet Plus app is employed for voting. The app has detailed information about the boys.
Boys Planet intends to debut a new K-pop boy group of nine members. These nine boys are global trainees who will be known as the fifth-generation K-pop group.
Boys Planet Episode 10: Recap
The show is nearing its finale, and the competition for the boys is becoming exceedingly challenging. The name of the next round was the Artist Battle. There are only 28 participants left, and they will perform the original songs. Boys will be involved in all aspects of song production, from songwriting to choreography to rapping.
The boys were arranged into five teams: Team Super Charger, Team Switch, Team En Garde, Team Say My Name, and Team Over Me. There is a benefit for the winning team. The team will get 200,000 points added to their score, a performance stage on the music show M Countdown, and a fan meeting with the Star Creators.
There was a surprise for the boys. All of their parents were in the crowd. The guys have been working on their new songs, which they will first showcase for their parents. It was an emotional day for the trainees as they received letters from their parents who watched their stage performance.
