Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! Volume 4 – Comics Worth Reading

I’m entertained by how this series is moving along, without drawing out plot points redundantly.

Adachi, with his virginal telepathy, has the advantage of knowing Kurosawa honestly likes him — and excessively so, sometimes. So far, the series has been about what he decides to do about it, with him coming to a decision in the previous book.

Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! volume 4 sends the two on a proper date, which of course requires much stressing on Adachi’s part about what to wear and what to do together. It’s refreshing and cute that the two men act just as any couple would, with uncertainty and insecurity and the hope of happiness.

Kurosawa goes all out, and it’s wonderfully elaborate, making for both romantic escapism — many would love such a thoughtful suitor — and more dramatic twists and turns. One of the pleasures of reading about two adults is that when things don’t go as planned, someone has the sense to try again in another way.

Now that Adachi has accepted that he likes Kurosawa, and he wants to try dating, there’s another complication coming up — how will he tell Kurosawa that he can read his mind? And how will he react?
