The series is almost close to a conclusion, as there are no more villains that are left to fight. We will see how the story folds as the loose ends are taken care of in the end. Seeing as how the story is more about the characters that were introduced in the later half of the story.
What started as a simple parody of YouTube became a thriller mystery. Tomohiro is a member of the filming club that has been asked by Mai, the school’s beauty, to film her. She wanted him to film her because she believed he could only film her beautifully. And it didn’t take long for her to show her Yandere side and be obsessed with him.
However, Mai is Tomohiro’s only hope in this sick world that is without consequences. Though he didn’t immediately fall for her, he went along with her schemes which led to them committing one crime after another.

DEAD Tube Chapter 87 had a showdown between the traitor and the participants. The traitor was a meticulous person that had worked not within the shadows but hid in plain sight. Yes, it was none other than Hoshiyomi. Hoshiyomi had done everything in her power to appear innocent or lead to that conclusion.
She first diverted the attention towards her, but when there was no doubt it was her, she had herself killed. Committing a perfect crime that none were wise to follow. However, her plans were ultimately foiled as Macchon was able to piece together the clues and get onto her. Now all that was left was to capture her.
Hoshiyomi proved difficult to subdue as she was skilled with weapons and was hard to pin down. She took down four people all by herself, without stopping once in her rampage of self-preservation. However, in a fight, numbers always win, and she found herself cornered, but she still had a trick up her sleeve. Her hostages worked in her favor until they revealed themselves to be free of her grasp, and that led to her end.

DEAD Tube Chapter 88 Spoilers
DEAD Tube Chapter 88 will have a character come together and look at everything that has gone down. The killing game took a toll on all of them this time, as there were casualties. Though, the manga takes the death of the characters in stride and doesn’t give it too much thought. But the biggest question that comes after the resolution of the traitor incident is where the series is headed.
The series almost reached its closure around 50 chapters, but then it continued despite the introduction of new characters. There were a few hiccups as the new characters had less dimension to them and were more quirky for the sake of it.
And given the pattern, it is possible that there will be a new mystery introduced, and things will go on from there. But if possible, it would be nice if they had more character (and were fleshed out) than the last time.
