The story is set in the Altein Empire of great military power, there was a man who was referred to as a “hero”, he had thrown himself into numerous battlefields without losing, and had never once fallen to his knees, until the very end of his life. In Vegalta, a country that fought against the Altein Empire, there was a lady referred to as “Sage”. Using the concept of magic, she overturned the unfavorable tides of war and increased the power of the entire country by spreading magic technology.
The two always met on the battlefield, they never slept, never rested, and always fought as if they were enjoying the battle. The only one to whom the Hero, Reid Frieden, can go all out against was Elria Caldwen, the Sage. However, that relationship would not last forever, eventually, a conclusion will be reached between the two, and the strongest will prevail because the Sage is dead.

When the informer, Lyatt, says this to the Hero of Altein, he was in deep shock, He says that the information is extremely credible because it is an urgent message sent from a spy who has infiltrated Vegalta. The commander thinks that he was sure that he would be the one to die first, upon learning the news of her death, a royal decree from the country was sent to his excellency Friedan.

Hero says that he is now useless as an old man after the death of Sage, but in reality, the informer says that as the Sage is dead, the Royal Decree says that he is to take advantage of the chaos and lead his entire army to invade the neighboring country, Vegalta, and end the long war.
The informer says that there is no doubt that this is the greatest opportunity for them, however, everyone who was present on the battlefield, knew that both of them did not want their lives to fall in vain by using their power against them, the powerless, and so his excellence engaged in one in one battle with Sage, that is why he is so frustrated, they cannot use the death of the great Sage who wished for peace with him for war, and they should be instead mourning on her death.
After his words, Friedan removes his armor and puts his sword down, and says that he is going for a walk, as he can’t be dressed up for war to meet a friend. He then reaches the castle of Vegalta, nullifying all the enemies’ attacks, and then climbs the wall.
