During a recent interview at Billboard Country Live in Nashville, Garth Brooks expressed his interest in reviving his rock alter ego, Chris Gaines. Reflecting on the Gaines project, the country music icon acknowledged the substantial effort and time he had invested in the endeavor.

While uncertain about the exact timing, Brooks affirmed that reviving Chris Gaines remained a priority on his creative agenda.

The album titled “Garth Brooks…in the Life of Chris Gaines” was conceived as a compilation of supposed greatest hits from Chris Gaines’ fictional discography, encompassing five nonexistent previous albums. Originally, the album was intended to accompany a film exploring the backstory of the Australian rock star character, but the movie project never materialized.

Garth Brooks has expressed his desire to record the original album as Chris Gaines. Reflecting on this ambition, he acknowledges that the five albums should be released to complete the envisioned musical journey. With a touch of humor, Brooks mused that perhaps the slower pace of completing tasks was due to his perceived age of 114, as everything now seemed to take more time than before.
