Asami Nakatani (Ensemble Stars!! Road to Show!!) directs television anime at Sunrise. Toshiya Oono (86) is handling the series composition. Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld) is the character designer. Tatsuya Katou (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight) is composing the music.
The anime adapts the Genjitsu no Yohane: Unpolarized Reflexion fantasy spin-off manga, which was originally created and planned by Hajime Yatate and Sakurako Kimino (Love Live! School Idol Project), respectively. Kouta Matsuda began serializing the manga in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sougou Magazine in February 2022, featuring original character designs by Taira Akitsu. Kadokawa shipped the first volume on January 31. The anime was previously announced as an April Fools’ joke in 2022.
