You need to get to the stairs between the Frozen Realm and the Toy Story realm.
Step 2

You have to complete an entire quest called the “Eyes In The Dark” in the Lion King Realm.

How to unlock Nala?
Here is how to do the entire Eyes in the Dark quest. First things first, you must enter the realm, and you will be greeted by Nala, not really greeted as you can see her roaring at the dried-out oasis. To talk to her, you need to roar back. Doing this is basically telling her that you are not a threat to her.
While you are talking to her, all of a sudden, Hyenas start attacking you and Nala. She will go ahead and try to fend them off, but it is going to be your responsibility to block a certain path so that they do not come any closer than they already have.
To block the path, you must find and grow give thorn bushes. There are multiple places to look for the thorns in the bushes, and once you get to the thorns from the bushes. You just have to plant them and then water the thorns; that should be enough to block the path.
