Another food-related reality show which has been around for a ridiculously long time has just made its return to keep the fans entertained. The Great Food Truck Race is a show with participants divided into teams driving around the country in their food trucks to sell their food in different cities. Host Tyler Florence is back to host the show and has been doing so since the show first aired in August 2010.
Every season brings no more than nine food trucks that roam the country in hopes of selling as much food as they possibly can. And every episode ends with an elimination process where the team which earns the least profit is asked to pack up their bags and find their way home.
This June, the show seems all set to air its sixteenth season with a hefty monetary reward of $50000, which will be given to the winning team. The show is said to have started initially to match the growing trend of food trucks around the States, all the while maintaining the tough competition aspect of the show.
It is a golden opportunity for the food truck owners to get their hands on not just the reward but also spread their name and become the next best food truck around. The reward is big enough to help them establish and expand their food business even more, which is why the show has cutthroat competition, making it even more exciting for the audience.
The Great Food Truck Race Season 16: The Plot
Tyler Florence is back once again to host the show for the sixteenth time, to continue imparting his divine knowledge and expertise related to the food business. We will see him introduce the show and its participants, along with explaining the rules and twists that the makers decide to put in every episode.
The show will be keeping the format the same as before, with participants driving the truck into new towns and locations in every episode and setting up their shops. At the start of every episode, all seven teams will be given a budget to get their hands on the required materials for the trucks and get preparing.
While the major portion of the episode will be all fun and games, we would not say the same for its end as with the end of every episode, one of the seven teams will have to bid the rest goodbye and return home, bringing the other teams a little closer to the reward sum of $50000. The elimination process will be no different, as the teams who fail to earn a high profit and come last in doing so will be the ones leaving.
The show will get kicked off in Los Angeles, where the teams will be further divided into two groups of four on one side and five on the other, and they will compete in this way. Though to add more spice to this, they will be forced to compete with not just the truck owners on the show but also the local ones who have been there for way longer.

The first episode of this brand-new season will be released on June 18th, 202. And the show will overall have a total of eight episodes with a running time of no longer than sixty minutes.
