Min Jaehyun and Seoh Ah-Hyun have finally managed to clear the theme park-themed dungeon after a long struggle. After surviving the horrifying Flandier’s mansion, Min and Seoh went on to face off against Surtr, a centuries-old mighty foe with the power of flames which could burn down cities with ease. Despite being pushed back at first, Min ultimately comes out victorious but Surtr has sworn revenge on him if he meets him again.
Hel is impressed by Min’s performance and believes that he truly has a shot at defeating Odin but he would need to get even stronger and Min also believes the same. The upcoming chapters will include Min mastering his technique and getting even stronger but will he be able to survive against this new foe revealed at the end of the last chapter? I Obtained A Mythic Item Chapter 48: Recap
Min Jaehyun and Seoh Ah-Hyun have cleared the Flandier’s mansion after defeating the doppelganger boss. They are then faced with the final challenge from the theme dungeon by Bruin, the host of neverland. The final challenge is the toughest one of them all as it is an S-rank challenge, Min and Seoh would have to face Surtr, a being capable of burning down the whole world with his hot flames. In order to win and clear this dungeon, Min would have to either defeat Surtr or escape the area before getting killed.
As Seoh makes her way to the exit, Min tries to act as bait but Surtr destroys the exit itself and so the only way to escape the dungeon now is to defeat the boss. Min struggles at first but Seoh quickly devises a plan to take down Surtr by smashing him into a water tank. She predicts his movements while Min lures him into attacking range and after stabbing him through the heart, Seoh and Min finally clear this dungeon.
The goddess Hel is impressed by Min’s performance and believes that he’s the perfect choice to defeat the highest being of the Aesir, Zeus but in order to do so, Min needs to get even stronger. Min has acquired Thjalfi’s thunder steps as a reward for completing the mission and he will now have even better strength and dexterity. He gets excited to put this S-rank item to the test.
Seoh tries to hide her item but Min uses subordination to make her speak and so she shows him Roskva’s seal, an item which completely removes the state of terror from its user and gives them courage. Bruin says his farewell to Min and walks away calling him the fated great enemy without any explanation.
Min and Seoh exit the Dungeon to meet a crowd of people waiting for their return. The news reporters all swarm them but Min escapes the area using his newly acquired item before anyone could ask any questions and so Seoh is left behind to face all the annoying reporters alone which makes her terrified. The lotus guild learns about this accomplishment of Min and his status as a battle mage and decides to meet him someday.
Meanwhile, Min returns home to check for the news for any coverage on him but he finds nothing. He believes that the Lotus guild pulled some strings to make this happen. He looks at his other item “Surtr’s undying flames” and realizes how weak he truly is. Min gets enraged by his own weaknesses and realizes that he has to get stronger to defeat his opponents without using petty tricks to protect his family and friends.
