The unlikely couple will enter a new stage in Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Chapter 125. The two have an unlikely relationship that can’t be described by a normal metric, but their popularity was enough to warrant a second season.
Which, in turn, only made the series more popular and possibly set a new dere for the medium that might become a new staple of the industry. Though that remains to be seen, although it is a bit of dangerous territory as their relationship can lead to toxic routes.
The two, along with the other Gyarus have come to a hot spring to lift their spirits, but the duo didn’t. They had been set up. They had been sent to the bath at the same time as a ploy for them to be together. Though, they didn’t know they were entering a family bath where everyone was allowed.
When the master planner reveals this, she is caught by one of the Senpai who dislikes the idea. But this little ploy led to a new development between Hayase and Naoto, setting up an event for the future.

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Chapter 124 had Naoto being assertive for the first time and declaring his intentions to Hayase. He is always on the receiving end whenever it comes to dealing with Hayase. However, he has started to develop as a character in these past few chapters.
So much so he can be upfront with her ‘teasing’ Kouhai that he leaves her in shock as he proclaims what he is going to do. Though he still tends to be awkward in explaining himself to her on this matter.
Hayase was shocked when Naoto declared his intentions, as she thought things were going to end right there. However, Naoto explained (sensing he hadn’t made himself clear) that he meant that he wanted to be her rival. Hayase calmed down but was confused by what he meant.
He said that he would have something to tell her once both of them have reached their respective goals in the future. Hayase, now aware of the situation, reverted to her usual self and said the thing she had been doing these past chapters. ‘Senpai is being full of himself.’

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-San Chapter 125 will have things return to normal as Hayase, and her friends tease Naoto as usual. However, there will be an air of rivalry as the two work to meet their goals. These two have had enough time to develop as characters, and that will show in how they will carry themselves in the upcoming chapters.
The supporting character will see how the two have changed and try to learn what has occurred between the two. Their senpais will be one of the two people to check in on them as well. They will also apologize to Hayase for the setup they did ( but hardly bring it to Naoto) in the later chapters. And as they learn how things are progressing, the gals will be taking a seat on the side to see how all this progresses.
