What is Software and Hardware. Let’s Start to know what is software and Hardware.

  • SOFTWARE:-  Software is a general term use to describe a collection of computer program, procedure and documentation that perform some task on a computer system. The computer system divides software system into 3 major classes:-
  1. System Software.
  2. Programming Software.
  3. Application Software.

                                             

                                     Software is an order sequence an instruction for changing the state of computer hardware in a particular statement. Software is typically program with a user friend interface that allow human interact more or more efficiency with a computer system.

  • HARDWARE:-  Hardware is best describe a device such as a hard drive i.e physically connected to computer or something that can be physically touched. A CDROM, computer, display monitor, printer and video card are all examples of computer hardware. 

 


                   Without any hardware a computer could not function and software would have nothing to run on. And without software hardware could no function.

              Types Of Software:-

  • SYSTEM SOFTWARE:- The system software consist of all the program, language and the documentation supplied by the manufacture along with the computer. They are also known as the system package. As they are a set of one or more programs design to control the operation of a computer system. These software program support, function and consist of program to start up the computer, Read and store and execute the application program. The System software can be classified into the following categorizes:- 
  1. Operating System.
  2. Translator.
  3. Computer Language.

Firstly I can explain what is Operating System:-

  • OPERATING SYSTEM:- An operating System is an interacted collection of program That act as an interface between user program and computer hardware.An operating system may be single user or multi user. There are mainly Five types of operating system:-

  1. Multi- programming.
  2. Web processing (OR) Multi Processing.
  3. Parallel Processing.
  4. Online Processing.
  5. Real-Time Processing.
