The story revolves around a magic emperor named Zhui Yi Fan. Zhui got his hands on the book of the ancient devil king, in which all his knowledge was passed down. After getting betrayed by his disciple Zhao Chen he was killed in battle.
He was then reincarnated, or his soul was transferred to the body of a boy named Zhuo Fan, a servant boy in a low family. Zhui Yi Fan tries to regain all his powers and return to the holy land, but the feelings of the body he was in interfere, and he cannot ignore the family or the mistress he served.
Zhuo then decides to bring this family to the top of power in the continent while reclaiming his spot at the top of every existing entity. This was the overall plot for the manhwa series Magic Emperor.

Magic Emperor Chapter 376: Recap
The chapter starts with Steward Zhuo standing at the sacred tree and trying to bring back his lost arm with the help of the shaping spring he got from King mountain. He hesitated because of the dangers involved, but after the battle with Huangpu Qingtian, he learned how to throw his hesitation away.
With this resolve, Steward continues to turn the Qiling Leg into a human arm and fuse it with his own body to regain his lost arm. The ritual process released so much magic power that it could be felt by many of his clan members from far away.
Steward successfully refined a sacred beast with the help of the body refining array from the nine serenities’ records. However, when Steward tried to align his body with the Qiling Leg, he was pulled into the aura and experienced immense pain, tearing his body apart with flesh and blood floating around.
