The story is based on the year 198x and will feature the harsh reality of the relationship between North Korea and South Korea. When the story starts, we see that our main character is hanging through a rope, and the North Korean officers are trying their level best to torture him with any means possible in order to find out what he actually is up to
Later, we see that this guy says to the officer that he is willing to confess everything and will reveal every secret he knows about South Korea and also the reason behind his invasion of the country. However, he only needs one thing before that, ‘food”.
When the North Korean officer says that he will give him some food, however, in exchange, he wants to know his goal and his infiltration route and asks him if he will be completely honest. Merciless Chapter 7 Recap

Later in the chapter, he finally reveals that he is a senior intelligence first sergeant, his name is Do Janggon, his infiltration route was swimming through the ocean, and his goal is to kill all the Northerners in the same way that he did just now, however, at the same time thinks that he should stop doing all this now.
The scene changes to Seoul, where we see Do Janggon and his boss, Lieutenant Colonel Park, sitting in a restaurant; where his boss says that there is no other employee at their work company who works as well as he does and asks him why actually he wants to drop his job, on the other hand, Do Janggon says that the reason why he is living his position is that the military food has lost its taste.
