When the Gyui Heol tribe arrives on the island, their son finds Mokrin crying near a tree. When he lays his eyes on her, he decides that he will get married to her and asks his mother to make Mokrin his bride.

Mokrin Chapter 23 Recap
In the previous chapter, Eundo Hwang and Eunyeong were indulged in a sword fight, and Mokrin witnessed this. She gets scared and advises the two of them to stop. But instead, their match gets even more intense. With no other option, Mokrin finds a way to end their fight.
After Mokrin’s interruption, the two of them finally notice her Eundo Hwang apologises for the inconvenience and introduces himself to Mokrin. Eundo Hwang tells her he is the chief of the Haya tribe from the east, and his people believe in ruling through inheritance and bloodline.
He tells her that whoever marries him will get a lifetime of wealth and prosperity. Eundo Hwang tells her if she ever gets bored of Eunyeong, she is welcome to come to him.

After listening to this, Eunyeong loses his temper and tells him to back off Mokrin tells Eunyeong that Eundo Hwang seems like a cheerful and amusing friend.
She asks him if they should invite him over for some tea, but Eunyeong rejects her offer because of his jealousy. Eunyeong tells her that she should not let her guard down and take care not to run into him anywhere, not by coincidence.
Mokrin tells him she will try that but suspects why he is giving her an icy stare because Eunyeong has never looked at her like that before.
Eunyeong apologizes to Mokrin and tells her he sometimes loses his cool because Eundo Hwang Mokrin tells him she has lost her family letter and asks if he has seen it somewhere.
