American sitcom Night Court was released back in 1984 and followed the shenanigans of the night shift in the Manhattan Criminal Court. It has been almost thirty-nine years since the release of the pilot episode of the show, so let us tell more about the amazing cast of the show and where they might be now.
The show introduces the criminal court as being run by a young and orthodox judge called Harold T. Stone or just Harry. He is a fun and quirky character played by Harry Anderson and is in the position because no one else picked up their phones. Apart from Anderson, the show had Gail Strickland, Paula Kelly, Ellen Foley, Markie Post, Richard Moll, Selma Diamond, John Larroquette, and many others in the roles of public defenders, bailiffs, and prosecutors.
The show does great with its absurd comedy and sleazy one-liners. It is loved by fans for its original plot and unique characters who have such great comedic timing. The way the liberal judge manages to serve justice without making the show sound preachy is an art form that many have tried to achieve and failed.

Harry Anderson
In the lead role of Judge Harold, actor Harry Anderson managed to become an iconic face, though he was known for his work with Saturday Night Live and Dave’s World, where he played the role of Dave Barry, a journalist.
The actor had an immense love for magic and the art of performing it, and he had, at some point, opened his magic shop and a comedy club, though it is closed now. Unfortunately, the actor passed away while sleeping in 2018 at the age of sixty-five years.
The cause of death was told to be heart disease and a stroke caused due to influenza.
John Larroquette
As the slick and charming lawyer, actor John Larroquette, in the role of Dan Fielding, surely had many swooning over him. The actor got so much love for his character that he even ended up winning the Outstanding Supporting Award at the Emmys. And he took this award home not once but a total of four times.
After this show was wrapped, the producers made a show around him as well, naming it “The John Larroquette Show”, which continued to air for a total of four years. Presently, the actor is back on our screen with the renewed version of the original Night Court, reprising his role of Dan Fielding.
Markie Post
Gorgeous actress Markie Post managed to leave quite an impression on fans with her role as Christine Sullivan. Despite the high testosterone level around her throughout the show, Post was amazing as the kind prosecutor on the show.
Though the actress joined the cast only during the third season, she is famous for her other works, including Hearts Afire and Chicago P.D., where she was cast as Bunny Fletcher. Unfortunately, the actress took her final breath on April 7th, 2021, before passing after a long fight with cancer. Post was seventy years old at the time.
Richard Moll
Actor Richard Moll was cast in the show as Bailiff Bull Shannon, a tough guy with a soft heart. His character is probably the funniest on the show, with the best jokes and the biggest laughs.
The actor stands tall, in the literal sense, and has a deep voice, which he is known to have lent to movies like Batman: The Animated Series, where he played Two-Face, and The New Batman Adventures. The actor is living a healthy life and continues to work in the industry with movies like Circus Kane and Slay Belles.
Marsha Warfield
While playing Bailiff Roz Russell, the actress had to put her strong, mean face on; thankfully for her, the show Night Court brought her fame that kept her busy all throughout the 90s. She has been cast for all kinds of roles, including Empty Nest, Touched By An Angel, Veronica’s Closet, and many others.
The actress even had to take a break from acting and, for a while, stuck to performing stand-up comedy. One of her most recent roles includes Toni Wilson for the show 911, which came out in 2021. She was one of the few who featured in the renewed version of Night Court as her original character, though it was a small cameo.
