Ponkotsu-Chan Kenshouchuu Chapter 37 will See Mito and Yumesaki go on another investigation as the year rolls to completion. The two are under special circumstances that force them to be together and be in a relationship, a healthy friendship.
But they weren’t like that in the beginning. Mito is a guy with mean eyes and has a habit of talking directly to people. Yumesaki is a klutz that everyone treats as funny, but she has been tasked with the task of investigating powers, or the city will be destroyed.
The two are not associated by any means and hardly talked to each other before high school. Moreover, Mito’s reputation should have made it so that he was the last person Yumesaki asked for help.
But, Yumesaki being a klutz, is looked down on by the others, and only Mito sees good in her. So when she had gotten into trouble investigating her powers, Yumesaki turned to Mito for help. Mito was not one to deny her request since he is always willing to help as he like being relied upon.

Ponkotsu-Chan Kenshouchuu Chapter 36 had Yumesaki gain a useful power in a long while that gave her 10x speed. But this ability is one of the few that could be removed if conditions were fulfilled. While the ability was useful, Yumesaki was going faster than everyone else, and it altered her perspective.
She couldn’t even talk to anyone normally since she was talking at 10x the speed. Which made it mandatory that this ability be removed, and the trick to it was simple. Mito waited for Yumehiko to show up after her message popped up, which wasn’t long. For them to get rid of 10x the speed, all Mito had to do was pat her head.
But the two of them were nervous by the prospect and were shy to carry it. When Mito finally had the courage, Yumehiko turned tails as she was too shy to face this. She later comes back to get it over with and is only able to get a head pat when she is under the misconception that Mito is up to something else.

Ponkotsu-Chan Kenshouchuu Chapter 37 will give Yumehiko the ability to walk on water and take anyone she holds hands with. The city two live in is not close to any ocean, so their only way to investigate it was to use the school pool.
They sneaked to the pool by dodging the guard and got to the place. It didn’t take them for them to get flustered over holding hands, and Yumehiko even slipped on the water’s surface. Only to end up in Mito’s arms. Mito retained his composure as long as he could until both of them fell into the pool. He was mesmerized to see Yumehiko all drenched in water but forgot all about it when he saw her smile.
After the two will come over their awkwardness, Yumehiko’s true ability will be revealed. Her esper ability this time allowed her not only to walk on water but on air as well. The two walked toward the moon at the end of the chapter.
