The story is about a young vagrant boy Pyo Wol. When he was 14, he was kidnapped by a mysterious figure. He woke up in a pitch-black room. He was alone and afraid. For the first several days he could not even move. It was as if he was paralyzed. But, the more he stayed in the room the more he began to adapt to the darkness. Soon hunger and thirst started to get the best of him.
He had no choice but muster his strength and try to get up. He walked to the edge of the room. He would see a solid rock wall. There was moss growing all over it. He deduced that wherever he is, it’s been constructed very long ago. He tried to eat the moss but the taste was awful. After finding out that it’s edible, he helped himself to moss to satisfy his hunger. Day in and Day out he started to train himself.
He started being able to see better in the dark. He even started to get food delivered to his room. What he got can barely be considered food. It was mostly food waste than food. Vegetable and meat clippings and so on. He ate them without complaint. But one day he was bitten by a snake. The venom coursed through his body and felt as if his whole body was on fire. He overcame that venom.

He opened it to see two kids.
They were survivors like him. After walking through several more corridors they reach a cavern. It was made to resemble a mansion of some kind. There were several kids there. Pyo Wol decides to go on his own while the rest of the kids started banding together to form teams. Some tried to convince Pyo Wol to join their teams but he rejected all advances. A door opened in the ceiling and food was lowered down.
Pyo Wol established his dominance by beating up a kid who tried to stop him from taking his share of food. Day after day food became less and less prompting the kids to kill each other. After several days of this, their captors show themselves. It is revealed that they are training them to become assassins for a very special mission. Just as Pyo Wol had deduced.

In Reaper Of The Drifting Moon, Chapter 54 we saw Pyo Wol standing over the body of Abbess Gu Hwa defeated almost instantly. The others realize that Pyo Wol is a reaper. They know they don’t stand a chance against him. Some even run away. He eliminated the leaders of both Emei and Quingcheng in one fell swoop and took control of Sichuan in a heartbeat.
When the others try to contemplate their next move Sage Mu Jeong took a drastic step. He started to use Demonic Arts. This gave him a sudden boost in Strenght, Speed, and Stamina. He rushes towards Pyo Wol but he dodges. He notes that Mu Jeong has become much stronger now. Furthermore, Mu Jeong seems to move in a similar manner to that to Pyo Wol.

An attack cause several blades to fall from the heavens piercing Mu Jeong’s body. However, he does not seem to be stopping. But soon falls to the ground motionless.

Now that both Abbess Gu Hwa and Sage Mu Jeong were killed by Pyo Wol he should be able to take control of Sichuan. However, at the end of the chapter, we saw someone else on the battlefield. Just as Sage Mu Jeong after being corrupted by the Demonic Energy was struck down we saw him. He seems to have appeared out of thin air. He held out his hand indicating that he means to stop Pyo Wol.
Maybe Sage Mu Jeong is not deceased yet. And this man was trying to stop Pyo Wol from finishing the job. Since he did it so confidently he might think he is on the same level as Pyo Wol. As of now, we do not know who he is. He must be someone of equal stature as Mu Jeong and Gu Hwa. We can look forward to their battle. It should be an epic one.
