It was assumed that Haruka’s husband Kazuma might throw a fit and react violently when he finds out when Ceres has decided to do but everyone was proven wrong. Kazuma was oddly encouraging and understanding about the situation, and hilariously so since his reasoning was that Ceres went ahead with his confession even after knowing that Haruka is married and basically like his elder sister.
Kazuma’s encouragement was absurdly hilarious and Ceres was pretty confused about the entire deal as well. On the other hand, Haruka was feeling uncomfortable with the situation since she had basically raised Ceres and she even had a daughter who was almost as old as Ceres.
Not just that, Ceres had married Shizuko pretty recently and even Shizuko was encouraging Ceres to pursue Haruka. The entire conversation was funny, awkward and eccentric, and the chapter made fans burst out laughing. The comedy in the manga was pretty well-timed with the ecchi elements.

In the previous chapter of The Hero Took Everything from Me, So I Partied with the Hero’s Mother!, Ceres learns about the various rules about night visits. According to the rules, the man must sit at the right side of the bed and wait till the woman acknowledges him.
The man must not speak first and he should respect the woman’s choice by accepting her rejection with grace and leaving the woman alone. Ceres comments that the rules are much more lax than he thought but he must follow them correctly if he doesn’t want to get in trouble. Ceres wonders if Haruka would get angry at him at his sudden proposal.
At night, Ceres finally goes to Haruka’s house and he can’t believe that he is doing this with another woman, with Shizuko’s approval no less. Ceres wonders if it is okay since he recently married Shizuko and he is now approaching another woman.
Ceres reasons that it might work since Shizuko insisted strongly and he might have the opportunity to have his beloved Shizuko as well as Haruka. Ceres sits by Haruka’s bedside quietly waiting in anticipation and Haruka finally wakes up to see him just as his legs started cramping. Haruka asks if Ceres known what sitting at a woman’s bed’s right side means and Ceres says that he likes her.
Upon hearing those words, Haruka slaps and punches Ceres, asking if he is in his right mind. Haruka says that these types of jokes are unacceptable and asks him if he is making fun of her and continues to kick him. Ceres calms her down and when tries to tell her that he likes her but Haruka kicks him again.
Haruka looks oddly hurt and Kazuma comes rushing in upon hearing the ruckus. Ceres thinks he is done for when everyone sits down to talk but Kazuma is extremely understanding and claims to know how Ceres feels. Kazuma then tells him that if he plans to be with Haruka, then Kazuma will stay in the room and watch them as well.
