The chapter starts with Tessa and Lucinda confessing their love for each other. Lucinda was pregnant at that moment. Lucinda says that the little life makes them feel anxious and sad, but it also makes her happy to know that it is the fruit of her love for Tessa.
Lucinda was confused about what will Tessa say, but whatever he said, she would do as he wishes. Tessa hugged her and apologized to her for making her feel uneasy. Later in the chapter, we see all of them having lunch together.
