His life takes an unexpected turn the day he chooses the necromancer card, setting off a course of events. Let’s take a trip down memory lane to acquaint you with the premise and protagonist.
Classroom 404 has a notable class today with Professor Kim. The day of selecting your Class is here, and a cryptic message appears. It offers the students cards offering the best chance of survival in an apocalyptic world. A sudden insidious darkness follows, and pandemonium ensues.
However, the astute Seongwu realizes that this is no ordinary blackout. With only 15 seconds to decide, a hasty and wise decision is the only and ideal option for the students of class 404.

A swish and swirl of cards and choosing fast is the sole option. Seongwu finds himself confused, and his mind races fast with thoughts. With so much going on, he takes a plunge to pick the card with the most stars. It turns out to be a Necromancer card.
Moments after the selection, a Goblin appears and attacks a student. However, Seongwu is quick-witted, and he grabs a chair and attacks the Goblin to defend himself. He defeats the Goblin and earns ten gold coins. The gold coins will be indispensable in defeating the swarm of monsters coming soon. Once a fantasy and now a palpable reality, Seongwu, equipped with his newfound power, embarks on a journey to defeat the nefarious creatures lurking around.

A Wyvern Herd awaits an assault on the players. However, no matter how formidable an enemy is, there is always a way to conquer them. In this case, the Breath of the Abyss does the trick. With this, the Korean Serve has successfully cleared the 4th “Warlord Monster,” and KO is the weighty highest contributor.
After the battle, Hanho and Jisoo squabble about the unchanged rankings, but Seongwu shifts their focus to a brighter note. They have leveled up and gotten stronger. However, Seongwu soon realizes that information about him has spread like wildfire, and enemies won’t take this lightly.
He decides to amplify his basic stats, as the enemies will target him first and ignore his summoned undead. During the battle against the Warlord Monsters, Seongwu obtained the Blackened Pearl Ring that would boost the Curse-type magic damage. It would be lethal against those who have no immunity.

However, the story turns to a sorrowful note with a turn of a page. Four hundred and ninety-two players have died. It is disconcerting as it leaves only a third of all the players since the start. Nonetheless, the surviving players have gotten stronger. It is a cruel yet honest fact.
As the players discuss the battle, a messenger arrives with news about a store at the Gimpo International Airport building. However, the excitement turns to melancholy immediately, as it is nothing short of an unapproachable store.

The team leaders then decide to approach the inaccessible store. Another impediment on the players’ way as they need a secret store coupon to enter it. Seongwu remembers that he has a secret coupon from his first awakening. With the code, they finally enter the store. What happens inside the store is another story to unravel.
