Just as the title suggests, The Remarried Empress follows the story of an empress who comes from the Troby family. Her name is Navier Ellie Trovi. She was an empress perfect in every way; intelligent, courageous, and socially adept.
The previous emperor, Ossis III chose her as the next empress for the crown prince. It was a political marriage. Fortunately, She and Sovieshu (the crown prince) had been on good terms since they were young. The nobles saw them as a well-matched couple. They worked together and discussed how they would rule over the kingdom as well.
Everything was going just fine, up until this one day. Sovieshu comes along with his lover/concubine, Rashta. As anyone would be, Navier is startled. She plays it off cool by accepting the divorce but instead, she asks permission to remarry.
Now everyone including Sovieshu is in shock. Just then, Prince Heinley, the first in line to the Western Kingdom’s Throne gives his entry shocking everyone in the palace. No one had ever expected that the Empress would want to remarry and the man would be Prince Heinley.
This all started a few months back before the new year’s party at the palace. The Empress found out about Sovieshu’s affair with Rashta. That is also when Prince Heinley noticed the Empress and found an interest in her.
Heinley starts off by writing anonymous writing letters to Navier and sending it through his bird. The Empress grows fond of this man even before she knows who he actually is. Heinley then starts giving her hints and making her curious about him as well.
Things go well between them and even the Empress notices a spark. Now that the topic of divorce has been brought up, will the Empress actually remarry Prince Heinley? You will have to read to find out.
Previously on The Remarried Empress Chapter 131: Recap
In chapter 131 of The Remarried Empress, we saw that there were many people saying that the Empress has been infertile for many years. Rashta says she is really worried about the Empress but Koshar-sama said words that made her feel hurt.
Rashta, as she is a cute girl with a sweet voice, lures in any man who comes into contact with her. Mr. Heinry also seemed to like Rashta at first. His Majesty arrives at the scene but doesn’t care much. As expected, His Majesty probably knows too that Rashta is loved by many people.
The Empress on the other hand is a woman who is cold on the outside but extremely warm on the inside. This is one of the reasons why Rashta can not stand as the Empress for long.
On the third day of the wedding, after the wedding was over, Navier was a little taken aback by how much things had changed. She surely was expecting some change, but this was too overwhelming for her.
Though all of the ladies were suddenly showing more favor towards her, after meeting Kaufman yesterday, Heniri went to his room alone and then went to bed. She was a little worried about it and was thinking about the same.
She coincidently sees Grand Duke Kaufman. She asks him if he was okay with talking with his majesty yesterday when his majesty had followed him. But just before he could answer, his sister arrives and they quarrel about a shawl.
Things get a little iffy now. Kaufman wonders if the drug has already worn off. He follows around to hear random conversations and on connecting the dots, he wonders if he originally liked the Empress.
