The boy has lived for a century and becomes the strongest in the world but he had no one to protect himself. All he had was a sense of emptiness that could not be filled by anything else. So he decided to time leap and go back in time.
Chrome wakes up in a familiar yet unfamiliar place and on a bed, he hadn’t been to in many years. However, it was the sight of Ellie, his childhood friend, that brought him to his senses. He tried to hold his tears but the sight of her made him too happy, and he hugged her with full strength. So much so that she choked.
But what comes after is the fact that he could still use his magic from the future, as in the past he was unable to. His foster was delighted beyond comparison about the news as they learned about this. Congratulating him on the matter, and even shedding tears of joy. For, it also happened to be his birthday at the time.

The Time Mage’s Strong New Game Chapter 4 had Chrome going against his foster father for a short spar. He wanted to check how far Chrome has come now that he has gotten magic. He was able to ascertain Chrome’s abilities in just one fight.
We learned that magicians usually use strengthening magic to speed themselves up in a fight. This gave them the speed and power to hit someone directly, but it didn’t give them control over speed. Chrome’s version of speed was by slowing down time, this allowed him to be fast while also being accurate.
This meant that Chrome needed to be strong physically in to be on the same level as his foster father. However, at his current level, Chrome had to admit that he was not strong enough to take the old man down. But the old man end the spar there and they both came to a father-son moment. Chrome realized how much it meant for him to hear the words of praise coming out from him.

The Time Mage’s Strong New Game Chapter 5 will see Chrome meeting up with Ellie. He recalled that in a past timeline that this was the last timeline he saw her and that she died along with her family. When Ellie notices an outbreak of monsters coming into the town she went to save them. Making Chrome worried about what he needed to save her and the city now that she had run off.
Inside the city, Ellie’s father took care of monsters on his end though it did make him a little tired to deal with them. When Chrome reaches that scene and sees him all fine, he is relieved and goes to look for Ellie. He found her fine as well although, she was at the limit of her abilities. Chrome decided that it was time he does something for the city as well. He will run off to the Progenitor that had killed Ellie in the other timeline and face the monster.
