The Tutorial Is Too Hard Chapter 104 Recap and Spoilers
Chapter 104 of The Tutorial is Too Hard was unexpectedly darker chapter than what readers expected it to be. The chapter starts off with kirikiri suggesting Hojae to go and attempt the next stages. He feels like something is off but still proceeds towards going to the next stage.
When he reaches the next stage, the 17th-floor stage of hell difficulty, he is confused as there are no traps, nothing in the room. A sign pops up that says that the stage is starting which makes him get ready for whatever is to come his way. But confusing and surprisingly, another pop-up comes up which reads that he has cleared the 17th-floor stage of the tutorial difficulty. There are other pop-ups that talk about the clear bonus and points but he is confused as he did not do anything.
Hojae decides that he will ask kirikiri all the questions as he has technically cleared the stage. Hojae asks kirikiri to explain what just happened as he wonders what is up with her since he has never seen her so down and she is acting weird. He also wonders about how she has the same face as when he asks her about people who die in the tutorial.
Hojae asks for some time from her as he begins thinking about everything that has happened up until now. He lists how she was happy and excited when he cleared stage 16 but turned gloomy when he asked about stage 17. He keeps wondering and is scared and nervous about what the answer might be.
After the wait, kirikiri finally tells him the answer. The theme of level 17 was 1V1 duelling. But his opponent was odd. In duelling, the person is supposed to fight with someone with the same difficulty. She further tells that the first challenger of the floor can pass the stage without trial as it was how the floor was designed. On being asked about the second person, kirikiri reveals that the next person fights the illusion of the first challenger. Every person on the 17th floor has to defeat the illusion of the previous challenger that cleared the stage except the first one.
The illusions are created with the same stats and conditions as the original ones. It has the same power as the first challenger that cleared the floor; their knowledge, level, decisions, habits and even items. Hojae now realizes that the challengers behind him will have to fight with an illusion with the same conditions as he did when he cleared the floor.
The contenders will not get an explanation that they are facing illusions and will just have to fight the duel without any knowledge and will have to just defeat the opponent in front of them. This further meant that they would have to kill the illusion. He falls to the realization that his illusion will end up killing some of the other challengers. He thinks back on how he has avoided doing any pointless killing but things will now change when he needs to. He spirals thinking about how he will do whatever it takes to kill his enemy.
He starts feeling dizzy when he thinks about the closest challenger to the 17th floor. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger with his realization that Lee Hyoungjhin is the next challenger and that he would even be able to win against his current illusion.
