Twin Star Exorcists manga tells of a world plagued by monstrous creatures called Kegare. Rokuro Enmadou, a once aspiring Onmyoji, has abandoned his dream after a traumatic incident. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when Benio Adashino, a girl with a fateful connection, literally falls into his life from the sky. Known as the “Twin Star Exorcists,” Rokuro and Benio are destined to bear a child who will bring an end to the war against the Kegare. But with their clashing personalities, can they even cooperate, let alone save the world?
As exorcists, their duty is to eliminate the Kegare, terrifying creatures that emerge from the parallel realm of Magano. Rokuro, a skilled yet resentful exorcist, and Benio, a talented and determined one, must overcome their differences and face numerous challenges as they work towards fulfilling their prophesied role. With their youth and inexperience, the path ahead will be filled with hardships and trials for these unlikely heroes.
Twin Star Exorcists Chapter 120 Recap
The ritual to summon the soul of Benio has begun, and the chanting starts. Benio has returned to consciousness after 800 years to settle the score. Tatara arrives at the battlefield after taking care of enemy reinforcements and setting up signposts. Tatara also manages to secure an escape route for the group. Yuzuriha starts to attack Tatara, saying that she won’t let the scariest exorcist of all reach Sakanashi. However, Tatara’s poison doesn’t seem to have any effect on Yuzuriha.
Sakanashi has prepared precautions against Tatara’s power and has injected an antidote to make Yuzuriha immune to his poison. Yuzuriha can see several minutes into the future and predict Tatara’s attacks. Sakanashi gives Yuzuriha permission to sacrifice herself either in a fight with Tatara or the God of Inbetween. Yuzuriha prefers to fight the God of Inbetween since she is a masochist and believes the fight would be more painful.
Tatara screams that Yuzuriha is a cheater since she is immune to his poison and can predict his moves in advance. He unleashes a rapid barrage of fiery snake attacks. Yuzuriha uses the Eyes of Death to see into the future, but all she can see is pitch darkness. Tatara then uses his ability, Dark Prison Njara, and defeats Yuzuriha.
Just before Tatara finishes off Yuzuriha, Sakanashi comes to her rescue. When Tatara tries to attack Sakanashi, Tsuchimikado interferes and prevents the attack from reaching Sakanashi. Yuzuriha tries to attack Tatara at that moment, but she finds herself unable to move. Sakanashi realizes that Tatara used a different kind of neurotoxin, one for which she didn’t prepare an antidote, to disable Yuzuriha from moving.
Tatara uses his attack that pierces through Sakanashi’s skull, but just in time, Sakanashi chants his spell called the “Box of Absolute Kegare Protection,” which nullifies every exorcist spell within it. After a close call, Sakanashi is able to sever Tatara’s head from his body, and the reinforcements, including the God of Inbetween, arrive at that moment.
