K-pop group CLASS:y performs the opening theme “Crack-Crack-Crackle” and Anna (Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Liselotte to Jikkyou no Endou-kun to Kaisetsu no Kobayashi-san) is performing the ending theme “reversal.” Both songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Mamoru Hatakeyama (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) is directing the anime at Lapin Track. Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) is handling the series composition and Noriko Itou (Boukyaku Battery) is designing the characters. yuma yamaguchi (Shiguang Dailiren) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Yuugo Asoaki‘s mystery novel, which he began writing under the Kodansha Taiga imprint in December 2015 and released three volumes as of April 2021.
Haruka Tomoyama began drawing the manga adaptation in Shounen Sirius magazine in May 2016. The manga transferred to Nemesis magazine in June 2017 and then transferred again to Comic Days website in June 2018 after Nemesis ceased publication. Kodansha shipped the third volume in June 2018.
