X movie is an American horror adult film released in 2022 starring Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow, Owen Campbell, Martin Henderson, Scott Mescudi, and Stephen Ure. It is directed and written by Ti West, and the producers are four, including Ti West. In the movie, there’s a double role played by Mia Goth.
She plays both Maxine and Pearl. Maxine is a young character who is an actress in the adult film which she and her crew was creating in the movie, whereas Pearl is an old lady who is desperate to fulfill her sexual desires.

What is X Movie About?
A group of adult filmmakers arrives at a farm which was owned by Pearl and Howard, an elderly couple. The group set up their equipment in the guest house, and the couple was just next door to them. They shot adult scenes during the day, and Pearl was watching everything at a distance.
She asked her husband to have sex with her, but he refused and said his heart was too weak for it. Now, Pearl wanted to get the fun and desire a young adult can have. Eventually, she started killing, and Howard, too, joined. However, Maxine was the one who crushed Pearl and survived.

What Happened At The End of X Movie?
The killing starts when Pearl asks RJ to have sex with her, but he refuses. The group had six members, and RJ was one of them. When he refuses, Pearl stabs him until his death. Loraine and Wayne come out of the farmhouse to find missing RJ. When Wayne searches the barn and finds Pearl, she kills Wayne too. Howard lies that his wife is missing and invites Lorraine to his house, and locks her up in the basement with a corpse.
Maxine survived at the end of the movie (Credits: A24). Howard goes to the farmhouse again and repeats the same story, and asks for help. The group splits up to find Pearl, but Jackson is killed by Howard. Later, Pearl sleeps beside Maxine naked. Maxine and Bobby both wake up. Meanwhile, Howard kills Lorraine, who escapes the basement.
Pearl stands at the edge of the lake, so Bobby tries to help her, but Pearl tricks Bobby and pushes her into the lake, and an alligator eats Bobby up. When Howard gets a heart attack, Pearl is left with no one to support her. Maxine takes the keys to Maxine’s truck from his pocket and crushes Pearl’s head.

Who Is The Survivor, Maxine’s Father?
In the last scene, it was revealed that Maxine’s father was a fanatical Christian preacher who knew what was happening at the farmhouse. He said on TV that he is the father of Maxine and he wants his daughter to return safely. Maxine’s reaction to her father was unknown, but she used her father’s prosperity as a driving force for herself during the horrific event.
X Movie Ending Explained
As we see, Maxine, at the end of the movie, overcomes the murderers and survives. The writer wants to explain a natural life cycle in the movie with the help of clashes between the old and the new. Maxine drove a vehicle over Pearl’s head and crushed her, which represents that the new can, howsoever, would win over the old.
Pearl wasn’t excepting that she could not have what she wanted at such an old stage (youth, beauty). She tried her best to fulfill her desire and even tried to get into bed with Maxine. But she rejected her advances and defeated Pearl.
